By Thursday morning we were finally ready to get back underway after getting the transmission working and tested on Wednesday and then sitting out some afternoon thunderstorms. On departure we made our first fuel stop of the trip and then got moving, unfortunately without Charlie as his time off work had run out.

At this point in the trip, it became time to see how we would hold up through the flight of 5 locks at the start of the canal, where my mom and sister were tending lines once I maneuvered us into place.

After wrapping up for the day with lock E7, we fueled up, pumped out and tied down for the night right around sunset at the wonderfully accommodating Schenectady Yacht Club.
